After getting some of Sri Lanka’s bigger city life in Colombo, I took a train down to Galle, where Dutch-colonial buildings blend with a tropical setting. Exploring the walled fort city inside and out provided plenty to see and capture, while giving a unique variety of life for a smaller touristic city. It was a nice, relaxing change of scene from Colombo too. So here’s some street photography I was able to capture during my few days in Galle…

Noice. Really wanna get back to Sri Lanka and get exploring too.
Shots 19 and 21 I like. The former maybe caught my eye because it’s different to the others here so stands out. But that’s a good thing innit. The latter for the t-shirt, no doubt. Right down to the crease covering the ‘s’ to match his single hand up.
Also really like the black ‘n’ white one at the end. And it’s good to see it at the end, presented separately to the colour ones btw. But aye, that figure-to-ground with the face and umbrella is bang on.
FWIW probably least keen on 32 for the opposite reason (top half of lady too difficult to make out).
Really good set of images though pal, as ever. :)

Hi Lee, thanks a lot for your message and kind words! I appreciate it. I enjoyed your thoughts on the photos too. On #32, how she blended into the white sky was what I found slightly interesting, but I’ll be honest. Sticking with the “33 photos” theme in this series is difficult sometimes, especially on the cities I’m not in for long, and this was the last photo I picked to get to that number. So I’d agree :)
