Thanks for this look at a rarely photographed city. As you said in the 7 first impressions post, most visitors to central Asia come for the outdoors and street photography is quite rare. I’m planning to get to the region, most likely Uzbekistan, later this yer.
Thanks for the comment, Jeff, I plan on going to Uzbekistan later this year too. Yes, while most go to the region for the nature, which is beautiful, after covering Almaty and seeing photos from Uzbekistan, I think it’s really interesting for street and documentary photography too.
